The wait is nearly over. On Friday, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will hit Netflix, and we’ll finally know what happened to Jesse Pinkman after he escaped Walter White and the neo-Nazi compound. El Camino reunites fans with Jesse Pinkman (Emmy-winner Aaron Paul) in the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.

“It’s a chapter of Breaking Bad that I didn’t realise that I wanted,” Paul told the New York Times. “And now that I have it, I’m so happy that it’s there.”

This gripping thriller is written and directed by original Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and brings back some of the characters of the original 2008-2013 TV series, which told the story of terminally ill chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his crystal meth empire.

The plot details are being kept under wraps, but Cranston has suggested that it will give some closure to storylines that were left open at the end of the series.

“It’s a great story and there are a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open,” Cranston said. “This idea, from what I’m told, gets into those.”

The trailer above takes place directly after the events of the series’ final episode, with the formerly kidnapped Pinkman retreating back to his friend’s house for safety while the cops are on the search for him. It also shows a montage of Jessie checking on the people he cared about, like his previous girlfriend Andrea Cantillo and her son Brock, as well as his mentor Mike Ehrmantraut, only to learn that they’ve died. It was recently confirmed that Jonathan Banks will reprise his role as Mike, leading many to believe Walter White (Bryan Cranston) will make a return on screen as well.
